Meat (made out of meat).......mincer (made out of metal).......packing (made out of plastic)

Wonder where this plastic keeps coming from:scratchhead:

The cynic in me says, "Are they repacking out of date mince?"......

.......perish the thought. That sort of thing could never happen - it's Red Tractor

Likely meat is slaughtered and butchered at one place, vaccuum packed in would you believe plastic bags, arrive at second place where it's minced and packed.

Processor will have immediately have been suspended and unable to trade. Oh wait, that what they do to farmers.

Slap on the wrist and carry on as normal. Even tough this looks like it’s the second time it’s happened recently.

Recalls for 13th FEb and 1st March product. Which must have been processed separately. What are chances it’s not the same processor?

Yet they obviously weren’t suspended after first problem.

They won't be suspended for a process failure. Red tractor and all assurance schemes are about the paper trail and the approved processes being in place. That a process sometimes fails is inevitable but they should have a contingency plan to both handle complaints, recognise the issue, deal with the issue and follow the products to rectify and/or remove the faulty product.

Of course this particular set of circumstances fails at the first hurdle because the faulty product was not discovered at source but was distributed all over the country and retailed long before a recall was announced. They do not seem to know precisely where the batch was distributed to and the supermarket does not know who purchased the product so that they can pro-actively warn the relevant customers.

It's all a load of balls but probably marginally better than nothing.

That gives the customer all of two days before its 'Best by' or 'Eat by' date. Marvellous! Most of the product will probably have already been eaten by the time customers find out. If they ever do find out.
Yes, the packs do have a little red tractor assurance logo. So what exactly has the farmer's expense and work to attain assurance achieved?
Exactly , as usual processor does wtf they like with no penalty or grief and the prime producer will get screwed in the pocket for processors negligence , deja vu all over again!
