I thought they only needed your total acreage as the charge goes up in area bands.Yes, then you are charged accordingly.
I only update the crop areas if I cross a charging tier threshold either way, otherwise I don't bother giving one more second of my time than they absolutely have to have.I thought they only needed your total acreage as the charge goes up in area bands.
Normal in the UK..... not for the imported competition. Our office has had a request for Cropping details and areas.

A more tactful answer!Only tell them the area that's all they need to know for banding and invoicing.
They've got no need to know what your growing, the standards are combinables and sugar beet!!!!
Potatoes and fresh produce will be a separate module anyway.
CIPC risk assessment? What’s that?A more tactful answer!
It also prepares the inspector for what you do, though things the CIPC risk assessment are mandatory for all growers.
I had one in July and it was the first for 18 months.CIPC risk assessment? What’s that?
I’ve a gestapo visit due next month first time in 2-1/2 years.
I’ve a feeling I will have to dial the bu’llshite-o -meter up to 11 for the visit.
Young lass coming here, I’m not anticipating any issues and won’t stand for any bull. I do like to turn the more stupid questions back on them and refuse to answer, especially if a single date is required for doing something. I usually point out that job was done over a period of time and to be accurate they need to write all the dates downI had one in July and it was the first for 18 months.
If your inspector is like mine and from what I'm hearing several others locally it'll be easy peasy. He'll do the minimum required to tick enough boxes to get you passed for another year.
I don't know weather it's a ploy by them to save there own arses or weather they're genuinely as fed up with it all as we are, I do know that my man was fed up with it all because he told me so.
I haven't had my sprayer mot'ed for 2 years they keen giving me 28 days to rectify the non conformance and I put them off and again and again, last time I spoke to them they asked if I'd send them a letter saying I wouldn't use it till it was tested, i remind them that according to the law it's still perfectly legal for me to use it and I would.
I could get it mot'ed tomorrow If I wanted but I enjoy inconveniencing then like they do to us!!!!
No.Was looking at xero earlier.
Fees for beef and lamb and cereals have gone up almost £150 over the last 3-4 year.
Up nearly £50 since last year!
Value for money?
Well someone has got to pay for the various shenanigans behind the scenes to keep themselves in employment. Was looking at xero earlier.

Last inspection I was asked for on of these. I said what is that for because we have never grown potatoes. He said I must do one - which I reluctantly did. Name, question 1 have you ever grown spuds - No, sign here. I gave it to him and he threw it back at me and hardly said thanks. It was just the tone, really annoying.A more tactful answer!
