You might be lucky. I sent a cheque for £4000 to a builder ten years ago. it was never cashed and I didn't hear any more from him. If you do a transfer then it's gone.
Iv written 1 cheque this year, that was for £1000 to my neighbor for some sheep kit. I knew the lazy bugger wouldn’t be bothered to cash such a poultry amount. 😂

They are not like the krays and its not a protection racket. you dont have to belong to it and if no one did then buyers would have no choice.
Its simple . stop whinging about things and just do it,take a chance .
and online banking i find brilliant and very efficient, excellent for keeping track of things ,and quickly, no more waiting for slow postmen for statements for the accountant etc.
happy days.

We have one holding with NSF but I hate their arrogant entitled attitude so much that I’ve moved to SAI and I have to say that in comparison they’re so much better to deal with.
They’re still sh!t, just not quite as sh!t as the NSF who can’t even be bothered to reply to emails, or return calls. SAI inspector was actually a really nice guy with a very reasonable approach.

I suppose picking your favourite RT supplier is about as great as picking your favourite STD.
