My original gripe wasn’t at Ensus... please don’t think it was
It was at the ridiculousness of the scheme when the whole chain relies on a sticker being on a yellow bit of paper. Which is so last century ( or the century before )

some end users are more relaxed than others, and as I found the stickers in the nick of time I didn’t have to “test” the system

Errm, I reported a few weeks ago that I had suggested another use for their scheme,so, 39997 to go (y)

At our local doctors people are told not to touch any pill boxes for 3 days after pick up because Coronavirus could be on the packets Surely the paper passports are a risk to lorry driver and then he passes it to the mills and so the pointless bit of paper could infect loads of people

Just loading wheat for Ensus this morning
Two load away lovely... used up the last two stickers on the sheet.... where’s the envelope with the other new sticker sheets....( I know we have some). can’t find them
Lorry is loaded on the dock waiting to leave..... no stickers

frantic search of office, of my house office, of the farm foreman's office etc etc. Lots of swearing and gesticulating

the grain buyer trying to sort somat out.....
NSF answered the phone but no one is in the office, no stickers can be printed.... they sent me an email saying we are Assured and to write my number in the box on the passport as a stop gap. But Ensus won’t accept this

so..... at this point we can’t send corn off the farm, there’s a lorry loaded on the dock and another one on the way.... I’m panicing.... and there’s 400 ton to go this next two weeks which will give me the cash flow to pay the bills for the next 4 months

suddenly son and heir sees the corner of an envelope poking out from behind the desk.... the envelope slipped out of the back of the drawer and down the back. Phew crisis averted

except

how is the whole grain market reliant on a little 1” square sticker
When it’s online that we are assured

surely in this day and age we can print somat off at home, have a stamp or just digital.

Im fuming right now at the potential to ruin a business for the want of a sticker
( remember the proverb... about the kingdom being lost for the want of a horse shoe nail)

Just print your own like many others do. Buy the blank stickers and use scan editing software and it’s easily done.

Certainly makes sense to avoid paperwork at the moment.

Had a pallet delivery today - driver didn't ask for a signature, I didn't volunteer one. Contact free delivery.....well, apart from the pallet forks!
