I thought this was the case that if you were rejected for having ergot or mouse poo in your grain you were suspended?
I hope I am as I cannot find out having spent half an hour on RT's website.
Can anybody point me in the direction of the relevant piece of paper? Thanks

I don't know anything about that. I was charged an arm and a leg when they found ergot at the intake at harvest.
I suspect it just went on the heap with the rest like what other Uk Quality Grain being tipped on the inferior quality heap of RT tick boxed stuff.

I was suspended for ergot a couple of years ago. Had to send an email explaining why I had ergot and what I was intending to do about it to get reinstated. My email reply was fairly strong and sarcastic as there is very little you can do about ergot, but firstly as they aren’t farmers or agronomists they don’t realise that and secondly it was just another box ticking as I was reinstated after that.

If they find it, then it goes to feed anyway doesn't it? The system has worked. No human consumption after that point.

I don’t think this is true, there is masses of ergot this year. I think the majority of farmers would have been suspended.

I cannot believe this to be the case as there is nothing we can do to prevent ergot.
I have had loads rejected at feed mills this year and have been redirected to be cleaned.

Here you go, this was an email I received from them after a load was supposedly rejected for ergot. They stated that unless I rectified I would have membership revoked
