Reducing water pressure

What options are there to reduce water pressure to drinkers. Ball cocks last no time with the mains and changing the wee rubber circles all the time to stop tanks filling. Need full pressure at dairy but all drinkers tee off from there. Are those volume washer type pumps with receiver tanks any use to do this?

A simple regulator would do it. Any decent plumbers merchants should get one.

Fit a header tank.

Two options. You can buy pressure reducers from plumbers merchants which can be as simple as a plastic spiral that goes into the water pipe. Second option is to fit an extra stopcock and close it half way.

Gravity feed not suitable.
Have a tap on for 1 house and it makes little difference , slows the flow but pressure when all ball cocks are closed seems much the same.

We put a pressure reducing valve in and sorted, easy to adjust

We have a couple of stopcocks half open in line as hosepipe connections are blown off the outside taps when the taps are turned on.

Iirc from school a half open stopcock will not reduce pressure just flow rate.

Yes, pressure will be the same. May take a few extra seconds to achieve same pressure. Fit a regulator to bring pressure down
