As governor of the Falkland Islands perhaps? Far away from British agriculture and I can just see him in the hat:D

Alec Salmond introduced Double D at the Fringe as the next and last Prime Minister of the UK - probably the kiss of death to any future as a Tory.

Potters Bar. FC were set on there merry way by a recently deceased friend of mine ..in 1960.. I'm planning a trip there .. watch his team play .. a few of the very best English bitters .. that are to be had .. It's just dawned on me that if potters originally perfected English bitter 200 years ago where could be better to go for a pint ...or 5.. jtt ..

Oh and what is potters crouch .?.. is it an infirmity ... only found in old potters from crouching over there potters wheels .. for decade after decade .. OR is it the pub I'm looking forward to visiting SO much .. Slange big D .. jtt

He's nothing but a novelty, the country doesn't want a right wing version of Corbyn, they want clever policy that works for everyone, rather than tory/ far left imbeciles doing whatever their ideology pushes them to do, whether its right or not.

I wouldn't mind so much if the Tories were even doing what their ideology pushes them to do, but at the moment it has nothing to do with ideology and everything to do with clinging on to power at all costs. One whiff of Nigel bloody Faridge and they leapt further to the right than a fishknife in fear of losing seats to UKIP.

And as for Corbyn, I wouldn't waste urine on him if he was smouldering in front of me.

As for David Davis, did you hear him on the Today programme this morning? I thought he came across as an absolute bloody idiot.

I believe in Realpolitik and that, at the end of the day, you have to make the best of a bad job even if unpalatable, but this is the first time I've ever felt so bleak looking at the state of British politics.

Arseholes to the left of us, tossers to the right.

JRM is an excellent fellow, and I am hoping that Mrs May puts him into a cabinet job ASAP. One day he will ,I am convinced, be our nations prime minister.
You are joking, please
He is another Enoch Powell, very good at telling us the state of the nstion, but without a clue as to the way forward.
We are where we are, we all know what is wrong, we need to know how to get to where we want to be, not to be told where we went wrong

Sorry EF I am not joking.A few weeks ago JRM was 66/1 now he is down to 8/1 at my turf accountants. Let us monitor developments over the coming months/years ? and see how things happen.
p.s. a had a small wager at a midway point !!

He's bright. Much more than Liam Fox but he acts like BoJo. He's opportunistic. I note he took no formal leadership initiatives in the EU referendum campaign. I think a lot of the left wing quite like him, not because a few laugh at him but because he does engage in level debate and seems to be quite fearless in these duo (him right and someone on the left) walkabouts and TV reality stuff

Rees-Mogg is an Intellectual snob of the worst kind. If you haven't got a first class classics degree from Oxford, then in his eyes you are at best a peasant, but probably sub-human. In the old saying "In knowledge lies wisdom" he has the first but not the latter.
