the realities of a poor harvest year and growing a suckler herd, I never told you what I can make in a good year
I didn't think I mentioned you. I was talking about a neighbour and what he tells me. He's always glum, good or bad. I don't think I even said what he farmed. Not sucklers, that's for sure.

just to keep all the brexiters updated;

looks like Londons predicament of being outside the EU now has created a lot of poaching across Europe
Frankfurt and Paris have already begun lobbying hard to wrest back control of the multi-billion-dollar euro-clearing industry from London. Paris believes that as many as 30,000 financial services jobs are up for grabs when the UK leaves the EU.

Pécresse told Bloomberg: “We’re the only truly global city seeking this business. Frankfurt doesn’t have our depth, Dublin is on Europe’s periphery.”

in other news: The UK's biggest law firms have been registering solicitors in Ireland so they can continue to practise in European law after Brexit
Oh crap, you were right all along and these pieces of non news prove it. I wish I could vote again and this time go with the smart people. If only I had more than 40 acres, I wouldn't be so stupid.

A prediction .... Mrs Lepen. if that's how you spell her name .. She wins presidency .. Calls a referendum .. To stay or get out of EU .. ISIS send in the missionaries .. France votes to leave .. They do .. Where does it go from there .. WE ARE AHEAD OF THE GAME. .. it cannot continEU as is .. jtt.

Bernard Connolly was one of only four economists named by Mark Carney who predicted the 2008 crash and he sees another just round the corner.
Here he gives his view of the EU

LOL, I've personally read about quite a few people who were "the only one to predict the 2008 crash". There's no shortage of people who say an even bigger crash is just around the corner and inevitable. Whether it happens or not isn't difficult to predict, the problem is knowing WHEN it will happen. The idiots in charge of the last bailout have mostly gone but there will be a fresh supply of new idiots in charge to take the place of the biggest numpty in the world Gordon Brown.

The fact that Mark Carney only knows of four economists who predicted the crash gives even more concern about the abilities of The Governor. Once you look past the smarmy exterior there's not a lot that's impressive about this man given the earnings we're throwing at him.

Well I predicted it along with a couple of mates in 2008, when we were on holiday in France, and we swore that we would sell all our shares on our return and buy some gold. Naturally we did nothing about it! but I do at least have a couple of witnesses.

I think that the analogy of a building with weak foundations, which continues to turn into a skyscraper and ultimately is blown down by a bit of wind (in this case perhaps Brexit) is a good description of the dodgy financial world we have. Everybody blames the wind and nobody takes the responsibility for the foundations.

The cynic in me thinks that the Eton mess of brexit was cooked up as a blamehound for the big crash they knew was coming anyway.

Just like it is easy politics to blame the EU for immigration and red tape? Fact is British politicians have a long history of not taking responsibility for anything.
I have always wondered why the benefits system was perceived to be better in Britain for immigrants rather than France pre brexit, and why they all want to come here, camping at Calais on route. If it was the EU causing the problem, surely they would have been just as happy to stay in France.

I have just had a look at Agriville and put in a search for Mark Carney but nothing much came up. Can you post a link?
Carney was a remainer was he not? Says it all about the elite not being in touch with the people.
