What are the chances of this happening to increase revenue post covid? Ive heard that that this could be the case, 50% of farm rental value + buildings value.

To be honest, if the great British public were aware of the agricultural exemption I think there would be an outcry. I can just imagine the examples chosen in the Daily Fail or the Sun, huge agribusinesses, not smaller struggling family farms.

Boris seems more concerned with pleasing his electorate than making good decisions.

As said previously, keep your collective heads down and fingers crossed. Being poor has never stopped the government squeezing for a bit more cash, VAT, Poll Tax, Council Rates, and so on.

It will happen at some stage, no doubt whatsoever. If single mothers on benefits with no savings have to pay council tax, why would asset rich farmers be spared, if the government needed funds.

The Conservatives have a massive inner city vote, future policies will be structured to retain that vote, at our loss.

Remember the farms will stay bankrupt or not!
The French government has always considered the SFP as being a huge subsidy to their tax system, since they can tax land which is getting some revenue
