Funny you say that as had a 40k 7530 with cab and axle suspension and that was a real nodding donkey on the road. 66's with TLS were a way smoother ride.
I sometimes drive a 7430 and find
It far too bouncy.it not a verry nice thing to drive.are they better without suspension

Not enough info.whats the budget.how old are you thinking what sort of hours would you be happy buying
Any particular brands you like or dislike.
Neighbour wants to take some work back in-house from the contractor just so he can get things done when he wants it done . Contractors not at fault, its just weather extremes mean he cant be everywhere at once. He doesnt like finance, pays up in full but 120k for new a jd has got us thinking. Main job would flatlifting and working down 350acres maize/beet plus hauling slurry/silage. Budget for secondhand would probably be 40kish . Not sure on hrs , probably nothing to high but wants to keep the tractor simple and comfortable . I was thinking case of some sort but any main brand would do.

Good luck finding one of those!!

Exactly what I was thinking, there wasn’t many 50k ones built in the first place plus most of the 50k that do exist are common rail.
If you want the holy grail 7810 it’s the non common rail 50k auto quad, if anyones a tidy one of them sat in the back of the shed (unlikey as they are super rare) they are worth ££££££.

Deutz 165.7 was a good tractor in its time and pretty bombproof too.
Agreed, brilliant old buses and can do massive hours, can remap them easily too.
I have a 6litre 130 with a 165.7 map and it's a real pocket rocket, the dealer did it before delivery, I didn't even ask for it, he had no worries about warranty at all, its been like that 11 years now.
Don't touch an M series though.

Just bought a valtra T153 as a spare. Basic Hi Spec with levers 50k air and suspension 13 plate 3800hrs and tidy.
Bought from main dealer (no warranty) well under £30k.
Feels fairly unstoppable on 3.5m subsoiler and 4m terrano.
There should be a home in the woods for it in 5 yrs time.
May only do 300 hrs per year but as long as it has no major breakdowns it will not be expensive.
I can afford to keep it to 5000 hrs and look for £20k for it.
That's cheap. Fu*k me, here you're looking at 30000€ for a Valtra 8550 with 10k hours on it. That T would be something like 55 to 65k€.
