The designer of the T2 box must have a lot of future plans in their minds as so many pins are connected to circuit board. But they newer got used. Just the remote engage and sonalert are used as far as I have understood.

I’ve done this now. The soldering was extremely fiddly but I’ve done two leads with foot switches, one to use on the combine and one on my MF6499.
Tested them both and they both work, so all is good.

What switches have you fitted? I want to fit footswitch but dont no which one to buy? All proper ones are expensive!

Would this work?
Yeah, that's what I use on an ez pilot. Did have to drill a small hole to secure the pivot pin, as you can't access the grubscrew after screwing to the floor mat.

The ones we get from trimble are a expensive but you can buy the one for the Autopilot that comes with just the pins on it and then you can get your own connectors.

The expensive part is that they usually add in an adapter cable instead of working with the manufacturer to put on a standard deutsch connection for each steering system.

As far as what switch will work, it is a standard on/off switch and you can likely make anything work as long as you get the pins correct. We sell a lot of the toggle switches because they are less expensive and a little cleaner in the cab.

Ez steer goes into t2 control box via 25 pin plug, ez pilot connects via sonar alert on loom from memory I will have a look later if I get chance.
