Removing conditioner.

I'm doing a bit of zero grazing with a mower and wagon. Is it possible to remove the conditioner on the mower? if so, would the wagon still be able to pick the grass up?

You can on many mowers. Few bolts and should come away.
more difficult to pick up but not impossible. If it’s a wide mower it can be a challenge to get swath narrow enough to run between tractor wheels

As above, conditioners leave grass in a few different directions in the swath so a pickup reel can grip a few bits which pull a few more bits.
Drum mowers leave the grass in a swath almost collectable straight away but disk mowers leave grass in one direction which is difficult for a pickup reel to collect. Especially the outer bits that get paddled by the tractor wheels .

On Pottinger Alpha Motion the conditioner is designed so it can be removed on a trolley when not needed.

Currently have a simple plain Samasz mower on test for profi. It has lifter plates on top of the discs which help tumble the grass a bit. Not tried it in long grass yet.
