Has anyone got experience of Renault 70hp fore wheel drive registered 1985 approx? Looking to buy one, said to be reliable, any pitfalls that I need to be aware of?

We've had renaults since 1981. 1st one 75hp 2wd. Did over 15000 hrs before we got rid. MWM engine never had a spanner on it. Then had a 90hp 4wd. Now got 90hp 4wd withloader, bought new in 02 has got 12000 hrs on but is semi retired now.
Get one bought,great machines.

I owned a Renault Ceres 95x for 4 years. I really liked it and the MX loader. It was the model with the JD bottom half. Unfortunately the hydraulic pump had an internal accident and sent some bits into the Donk. It was repaired at big £‘s (to me) and sold as a part ex to a local dealer (for £500 less than I’d bought it for) on the advice of my mechanic. The dealer was fully aware of its history.
I replaced it with a Claas Axos which I’m also very happy with and is very similar to the yellow bus.

My uncle ran one bought new from farmway E reg. I think it was 100hp 4 cylinder.4wd What would that have been?. It was a good tractor. It always seemed to be a monster to me as a kid.
My dad helped him out one year, 1991 and drove it. I remember as clear as day walking up to it and thinking wow. Something about those old Renaults

I have a Renault Cergos 350, 2000 reg. Great tractor to drive and very comfortable, believe it has a John Deere engine. Would happily buy the same again.

be a good enough bus, but i think at that age the only downfall would be dry brakes, would it be a 80.12 or possibly and older red 851.2. generally renault wa 10hp below the first digit as in 110.14 was 100hp but in the older 1181.4 it was 108, least thats what i was told

we had renaults from day one when they first came in most under rated tractor, even our neighbor said if they painted them blue and put FORD on the side he would have one! 10 years later he went jd , 1 step at a time he will learn.
