Anyone know a way to replace a skylight from below. Without going on a roof??

i like the multi tool idea, thanks have one to doI've just done a roof and although I'm 30kg more than the last time I did one it wasn't anything to worry about.
Crawling boards and nets or straw bales underneath then cut the tops off the drive nail heads and slide another grp skylight under.
If you have a multi-tool you can cut the drive nails off at timber height from underneath.
Refix with tec screws for the 21st century. Use laplocks on the sides of the sheet to stop it lifting.
If you're at all concerned then pay someone to do it (properly) instead.
It's cheaper than any accident to yourself.

So, so true but with forethought it’s not rocket science, just safety and then effortNo thanks,
Simple job that becomes a nightmare,
Buy are you still fixing from above, ?So, so true but with forethought it’s not rocket science, just safety and then effort

I’m on hooks so yes. Above is necessary with any fixings. Safety being paramount. Youngman or Stephens & Carter ladders over the purlin span.Buy are you still fixing from above, ?
Just tagged you for an opinion, not putting you up for the job.No thanks,

By the time you get involved that's very wise.I don’t trust any roof, boards or not,
@suffolksmallholder The Filon Fixsafe system is fitted from underneath with new fixings.
It's such a clever system.
As long as you make sure you are safe.
A fibreglass ‘big 6’ piece should be put under the top sheet and over the bottom sheet. Cover should be at least 400mm above & below and two (?) wriggles either side.
Undo the relevant fixings above & raise the sheet and poke the new one in. Pilot drill the holes and re-fix. Similar on the lower although remove all those that will be in the way and then re-fix.
Looks like timber purlins so easy-peasy as they’re not bloody hooks

I think you get a wriggle and a half? But grp sheets are only same width as fibre cement. One wriggle each side and a few laplocks will nip it up.
I do like to put one nail ( now using screws) in each wriggle top.
