Replacement for displacement…?

Historically with tillage trains working deep we ran a brace of challenger 765’s, as we moved towards CTF lower disturbance cultivations and direct drilling in some instances we moved away from track layers to 350-400hp wheeled machines, this gave us more flexibility to ‘throw on a trailer’ if needed and get from block to block much faster and easier.
Now, the last 2 years have had us wondering if we need that traction and power again! Last year with the wet this year with the pan from the wet, am I jumping the gun looking at cheap quaddys/ twin tracks to get on farm in the matter of days for cheap HP or will it come right eventually letting the soil and CC’s do their thing..?

I tried letting the soil do its thing after the wet 2019, it didn’t, poor crops the following year. Paraplow is going to be busy for a couple of weeks, won’t be doing that again

We had a brace of c’s and every time there’s some sub soiling or mole draining I miss them. They are very cheap to buy now I’m very tempted at some cheap HP to leave on a sub soiler and do nothing else.
The last 75e we bought with less than 8000hrs on it was less money than a gearbox repair on a modern tractor. It's been out subsoiling for the last week pretty much solid and it's doing a cracking job. Makes a lovely noise as well.
