anyone know how to ID the model of the seat? I have a Grammer seat in my 627 and my ass has eaten the foam off the cushion, I was thinking about giving her a new one for Christmas

yeah sorry, do you know which grammer seat model it is please?

it looks a bit like this one

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GRAMMER-...271191?hash=item2844a3b4d7:g:KOAAAOSwEOpZ8u1i

with the plastic adjuster flap things between your legs

You cant buy the exact same grammer seat as in the Manitou, Manitou spec there own trim etc from Grammer.

This is a basic grammar air seat I sell and have fitted in 634, 735 etc or I can do the Maximo too.

I don't think it will matter that the air controls are on the side they don't stick out that much so should clear the handbrake lever.

do you ever just fit a new seat cushion to the existing seat?

If you got the standard grammer mechanical seat then no because the suspension is normally worn out by time seat foam is knackered. I can price a genuine seat foam if you want? they are easy to fit only 4 or 6 screws up from underneath I think.

If you slide the seat forward (leg reach) there should be a silver sticker with the model number at the back of the seat on the base, one of the numbers will be the seat type and one will be the trim type/colour, think it might begin with S as a prefix. I got a new set of genuine cushions for a Hurlimann of a bloke in Germany who has a lot of listings on eBay, I just messaged him with what I wanted. Very genuine seller, £160 for both cushions from memory. www.profistop.de

Cheap certainly, but I know somebody that bought seat there and there was a suggestion that the cushions spec may be a grade lower, to them to undercut the slightly dearer quotes.

yes there are at least 3 different types cushions on grammer, they vary in width and depth
