The Biggest machinery purchase of the year is imminent !!

Currently have an Iseki Sxg 19, want to go from a 48" to something a bit bigger, 54" seems to be as big as the tractor with collector types go??

What's people's opinions of JD, Kubota??

Any other makes / type to consider??

We have an SXG 19 and a Kubota which we bought about 4 years ago. The Kubota is a lot slower, less comfortable and has a stupid forward and revers pedal which is all on one pedal. However the Kubota is 4wd which can be handy. They're both well made but id stick with an Iseki, have you considered a zero turn mower with the decks infront?

The Iseki has been a good mower.

Which Kubota are you looking at / tried out?

The only ones I would heartily recommend are the proper job commercial out front F-series, but probably way too expensive and big for a regular garden and the collector option will cost more than most high level domestic machines.

The zero-turns are supposed to be semi-commercial and very good too.

I’d avoid the GR series etc now, too plastic and sh!t in a nutshell. Yes I’ve got one of them too.
