Replacing our Dowdeswell DP7

Whatever you do make sure you get the right bodies for your land. What do your neighbours use?
My personal recommendation is Naud - but they don't make them anymore.

Agri hire have acquired the rights to Dowdeswell ploughs, but I am not sure whether they are up to speed in production terms yet?
Dowdeswell parts are available from Dowdeswell parts, or I presume Agri hire?
Agri hire have branded the ploughs "Hubert"; there are videos of a 7 furrow fully mounted on YouTube.

I would love to have been at the sales meeting where they decided that the best name for a plough is 'Hubert'.

Dunn's ploughs hold a massive stock of dowdswell parts,they are also producing there own plough now as well

Slightly off topic but the OP presumably has UCN or SCN boards on his DP7. How good are the modern dowdeswell DD or DDS boards that replaced them? I can see they are a lot bigger and more suited to modern tyres but beyond that I know nothing. I liked the big boards I had on my overum before I went back to UCN and a dowdy.

Yes SCN bodies, although UCN would probably have done us OK. We were sold SCN because we grow potatoes, although we plough no deeper for spuds than we do for corn.
