Replies to threads in wrong order

I don't know if it's just me, but if I start reading a thread that goes over more than one page, some of the last posts appear at the end of page one, when they ought to be at the end of page 2 - i.e. the order is all wrong.

I have this happening on my old Windows 10 laptop using Firefox and on my Android FairPhone using Chrome.

It's since live alerts was enabled by request and happens when the replies go over the 20/40/60 border. New posts are loaded at the bottom of the page, even though you haven;t loaded the next or final page.

We can turn that feature off and leave the auto-update of alerts and conversations on. But we enabled it as it was something members asked for.

Oh I get the live notifications things being handy, just that then getting the posts in the wrong order as part and parcel of it? It seems odd that you have to put up with the latter to have the former, if you see what I mean?
