Anyone had a residential neighbour spraying weed killer into their field, killing grazing grass? Even worse he does it when there are cattle in field!

can anything be done regarding this? This is the second year he has done this!
Is it a little bit or a big area?

talking to him would be a start point, find out what it is he’s using. if it’s domestic use then he’s really restricted in what he can buy now. Either weak as pee glyphosate or vinegar. If it’s potent professional stuff, he shouldn’t have it.

Repay the gesture! (or at least threaten to) Cheeky sod.
Tempted to let the child loose with the back sprayer beside our garden fences 😂

The biggest area is about 1m x 2m. But afew smaller spots. Spoke to him last year he said he didn’t know it could poison the cattle when he sprayed his bank and the cattle then ate the grass etc off the bank.

Very tempted to ring police. But had major fall out with them last year over throwing glass, stones, wood with nails and weeds into field (after I’d it sprayed for weeds🙄)
So report that as well at the same time because as well as ‘chemical damage’ it’s also repetitive and affecting your mental health ……… The police will visit them.

Know a chap who was having issues with an idiot and his four dogs. The idiot believed in the right to roam wherever he liked, leaving dog shite and litter in his path. He was reported to the police for littering, dog fouling and his dogs worrying and chasing animals (actually rabbits and hares). The police went round and he’s not been seen since last September so just report it because it’ll cause your neighbour hassle at the very least.

I assume it was all fired back over into his garden? That usually stops them ime, or leads to a situation where you can explain why their cr*p has been carefully returned to source…

Pictures?
You say "his bank" ?
If he's spraying your property just tell him its criminal damage and you'll report him to the police if he does it again.

Have you been and spoken and explained what the risks are to the cattle? Ask them to make sure it doesn't drift onto your land.

Sometimes just explaining and asking is all it takes.
