That 362 looks like a brand new tractor. What is the lucky owner planning on doing with it?
That 362 looks brilliant, really good finish on the paint, we'd refurb the odd tractor, mostly something that I'd have bought for myself and occasionally for customers, it's car body repairs were mostly into.
Was just wondering if you knew where I could get a new roof top for 398 or is it a genuine part only? Would you recomend any type of fibreglass to repair my own with? Thanks in advance for any help.

I will, thanks very much. Previous owner caught the roof rolling the silage clamp, I initally thought it would just fix with some fibreglass, patience and time but I was told then that whatever type of fibreglass those roofs are made of won't bond with the type of fibreglass we'd usually use on cars. New roof top from Massey dealer is almost £600!

The roofs are a plastic rather than a glass fibreglass, car bumper weld repair kit would be better i would think

178 stripped down ready for dismantling steering to sort out and a few oil leaks, rear cranks seal mp valve and input shaft seals gearbox topcover leaking all brakes to renew and new seals in axles

Those 100 series dry discs brakes are pants.
The square back axle with oil cooled discs was a quantum leap for the series.
Yep i agree
All dry discs are a pretty shat
The leyland one's christ i didnt use ours and when you did it left 11's everywhere
So stripped and rebulit them new balls and springs plates ect was ok for a few month until heat built up again and springs stretched back to square 1.

Was the paint work that bad that it needed repainting?
Not really to most it would still be tidy but it had rust starting behind the window rubbers and chips all over the cab the owner wants to keep it as its only done 3k hrs
So he approached us to do the work, it had a few dents on the hyd tank and bonnet so we straightened them out then painted i.
It looks really nice and fresh a pleasing job all round.

Have you done any work machanicly? Be a fair bis as open station

I might just pencil that on the when quiet to do list :D
Mechanically she was quite good, the turbo was seized so we replaced that and set the tappets she runs quite sweet now although shes smokey on start up.
She was also pulling the range lever out of gear when changing the speed lever i had to replace the cup shaped playes at 50 quid a piece :nailbiting:
