Most of it should pressure was off but any ideas on the more stubborn bits? Just want it back to orange and rub it over with a diesely rag any ideas @REStractorATION
Looks nice and clean to meHere's a couple of my 3040 that I've been doing a little bit of work on over that last couple of months (when time permits). Still got the brakes to sort but everything else is pretty much where I'd like it to be for the time being.....

My 65 is sluggish to engage , in hindsight I should have twigged the MP was tired, so will mine need to be split?Strip the pack out new seals/rings check the dog over ect also high and low on the stick is abit weak so my guess is detent sticking or weak spring just nice to know that all is spott on when we go to paint it leave nothing to chance
The multipower felt to really sluggish to engage and also slipping slightly too best to check
To get pack out yes,My 65 is sluggish to engage , in hindsight I should have twigged the MP was tired, so will mine need to be split?
It's had a new filter, don't think any leakage into bell housing, I would be suspicious of the valve adjustment, I bought it before I seen it running, got it home, MP didn't work, nearly cried, fiddled with linkage and got it working, I think I best to test the pressure firstTo get pack out yes,
Sluggish can be pump pressure filter
Valve adjustment leaking rings on input shaft
I just do the whole lot then its done.
You can do the seals in the input houseing from the front on the multipowers if its leaking oil from bell hoiseing good chance it these seals and the mp valve oring leaking
There is metal rings on the input shaft that can leak internally they are a high wear point metal to matel they wear a groove around the inside of the shaft pressure test will tell you if pump is ok good place to startIt's had a new filter, don't think any leakage into bell housing, I would be suspicious of the valve adjustment, I bought it before I seen it running, got it home, MP didn't work, nearly cried, fiddled with linkage and got it working, I think I best to test the pressure first

Most partsCan you still get all the parts needed to re build Multi Power gearboxes?
Most parts
The hub/clutch pack housings are hard to get the pumps are not great either
All seals plates discs springs etc can be got, shafts can but a bit crap in quality
Upto Yes even welded up ones but there will always be one that wont work in future im not a magician but do try and do our bestSo would you say you are generally able to repair most of the common faults found with Multi Power models?
Upto Yes even welded up ones but there will always be one that wont work in future im not a magician but do try and do our best
Anything can be fixed, within reason of courseThanks for that, always good to know that it can be fixed if need be.
Keep up the good work!
Some parts that cant be obtained have to remade or creatively/professionally bodgedThanks for that, always good to know that it can be fixed if need be.
Keep up the good work!
