They are very rare in the UK. MF dropped The 1100 soon after we bought ours because it was too BIG for the market at the time so it didn't sell very well ! ( Imagine that! ) so then they tried to push The 1080 as their "range topper" but apparently it just wasn't a patch on the 1100, it was underpowered and was dogged with reliability problems.

An 1100 restoration will be one for the photo album . Never was any in Ayrshire ,Just curious but any uk ones ever be fitted with a cab? dont remember any of the cab manufacturers of the time advertising cabs for them.

Ours had a Sekura cab . The tractor had to be "Modified" a little to get it to fit i.e . John I Fearn's ( The dealers) butchered the fenders somewhat!

They are really in good nick the Germans have petted the art of paint application

But shabby in some areas
They provide d many years of reliable service so it's only fair we do them up a tad;)
Neighbour has a 305ls that has stood up to the test of time very well except for where the bonnet hinges are. Cab and doors are perfect. Will get my hands on it someday..
