Which brand of vehicle do you buy for such good service - well you we‘re all dieing to know
What sort is the problematic pickup??????Just been told no charge for new pickup.
I don’t really want to rock the boat. What sort is the problematic pickup??????
I’m going for the wildcard option, Ssangyong Musso!
You have a boat as well?I don’t really want to rock the boat.
Depends what your usage is. 10 years ago place I worked was running tritons on spud farms. Doing reasonable km but on sand and in and out of muddy pivots daily. It cost considerably more in repairs and maintenance to keep the things going that what the finance was.Been pondering that since 85, end conclusion here is new Triton/L200 4WD auto , flat deck, bull bar and possibly ECU remap, given we get only a 10 warranty for the price what else is there to consider and what other manufacturer will match it?
My daily driver that get used everywhere from on farm to the city and all over NZ from the Cape in the North to Bluff in the south is a 36 year old L200 4WD that only ever went back to the main dealer once to be serviced back in mid 1985.Depends what your usage is. 10 years ago place I worked was running tritons on spud farms. things may have changed but I’ll never own a triton of my own. We changed to hilux at the time and never looked back
Why? Do you think the garage boss is on here!!!I don’t really want to rock the boat.
That’s fine then but my experience is different and when a service was 2k 5 times a year it leaves a bad tasteMy daily driver that get used everywhere from on farm to the city and all over NZ from the Cape in the North to Bluff in the south is a 36 year old L200 4WD that only ever went back to the main dealer once to be serviced back in mid 1985.
Plenty of Tritons used here in this part of the world with no more issues than other competitors utes.
Was the issue with the ute or how it was serviced???That’s fine then but my experience is different and when a service was 2k 5 times a year it leaves a bad taste
Ffs, what's the point of having a ute and no boat???You have a boat as well?
Probably both but failing front drive shafts because the boot failed was common. Can’t remember everything else but know I’ll never have another. Earlier ones were better but 4wd rarely worked on themWas the issue with the ute or how it was serviced???
Even I've heard of occurrences where main dealer service has left a bit to be desired...
If I was in the position that the op is in then I certainly would not be letting the nosey baskets on here who seem desperate to know what brand of pickup is being replaced, until I had the new vehicle parked in my yard!!
