After a long debate in the pub over this and everyone getting more confused can someone settle the argument.
How do you chaps do the opening for a parallel ploughing reversible class (not European with butts)?
Do you start by turning 1 furrow towards your lower numbered neighbour as a split to be judged. Then do you turn that back towards your higher numbered neighbour and complete 8 or nine furrows, leaving an open furrow on your lower numbered neighbour’s side, as your start to be judged.
Then do you go to the open furrow of your higher numbered neighbour and plough back to your start.
The finish being judge on the accuracy of width, aiming for the rear disc to cut exactly where the disc cut on very first run of the start with no ground left unturned and no furrows turned twice.
