Cheap eBay one on cattle lorry, just replaced it but it did 4 years on the lorry, constantly covered in muck and steam cleaned. Unplugged it and plugged another£25 one onto the back. Didn't try and find a problem just binned it at that price

First one I got was a cheap one, does the job, local stealer had sparex on sale, £200, so I got one and it's twice the camera for picture quality, but twice the price. Liked it so much I have one in each tractor now

How did you power the cameras? I take it there is one wire back from camera to the monitor for video and one from the camera to a power source?

Did read on another thread (can't find it now) that someone felt two cameras in a box drill hopper was better and needed??
Any thoughts anyone.

It's a toss up between one similar to Fraserb - with two cameras - or a camera that runs off a 4 pin cable. Same price
Primarily for seed hopper use, but want easy installation and removal for potential use elsewhere.

Just installed an Ecco visionalert camera system into a combine. Decent quality and a nice 7' screen in the cab. There is a middle cable between the camera and screen where the power and earth cables come out from a splice which I assume sends power down to the camera and up to the screen. Plug and play you can't go wrong with any of the different makes and models really going from there the various ones I have fitted in my time. This kit had an extra feed so you could wire it into the likes of a reverse lamp to activate the system if it was turned off at the screen as well.

Yeah I just ran a length of 2 core along side the video cable and powered it from a plug in the tractor.

I get on fine with the one camera in the hopper.

As said mount it on a decent magnet, top job then for moving camera about.
I use mine on the seed drill and fert spreader and one camera is fine for that.
The cheaper wired ones need a cable for the picture and a power lead too. Power could come from a side light or similar though.
Mate has a wireless one wired in permanent on his baler. Reverse up, connect everything up.and as soon as he powers up the baler box the screen in tractor picks up the baler, top job!

I want quick fitting and be able to move it about. 4 pin lead should give me that i.e power for camera comes from can?? Then can move about without unconnecting from a light.
If one camera is good for drill then I know which one to order

Are wired or wireless better ?

wired for vehicles

just watch the voltage supply trucks are 24volt
transformers 14-50v input 12v 1.5 amp out, about £2 posted. i got one on a 20v drill battery to drive a cam.

best solution and cheap as any is a proper DVR in the vehicle, then you can wire with cat5 or proper cctv leads.
can then be used for all sorts of fun besides work, Lad here had wireless in his car, could sit in flat and watch street.
they soon sorted the local vandalism whilst working in london

They are also good in the dark you just loose the colour
