Reversing gearbox

Any suggestions where I might find a parallel shaft gearbox with 1000rpm in/ 1000rpm out and able to handle 200hp?

Want to reverse the pto shaft on a tractor rather than spin gearboxes on machines.

Thanks.

Dont know who makes them but could speak to atkinson vos as unimogs require a reversing box on the front to run normal equipment

Hmmm parallel shaft...thinking maybe something like a transfer box, but it would have to be a reverse drive type box (no idler gear running between input and output). Most aren’t reverse drive though and the ones that are look hand made, billet housing mega-££££ jobs for customised off-roaders. So out of the question.

There were some PTO reverser units for sale in the states for fitting to grey import utility tractors that have their PTO spinning the wrong way, but they’re too weedy and wouldn’t stand the HP. :scratchhead:

I think T-drive gearbox as Dave suggests will probably be easiest/cheapest otherwise but won’t be parallel shaft though obviously.

Look at Kramp website gearbox pages there's dozens to look at
That’s a very good shout. There’s a couple of Comer MR-90 boxes in there that the OP may want to investigate. Not sure of the power rating, but appear to be of the very parallel shaft type and reverse output:

The only other parallel input/output box I can think of that could stand that much sustained power would be something like a front PTO gearbox. Maybe find a used one?

Beyond cost, the trouble is they will be reduction geared, probably 1.9:1 and I think OP wants simply 1:1.

Torque will be nearly halved at 1000rpm
1000/540=1.851
Multiply by the 85hp rating
1.851x85=160hp

Not 200hp but a lot closer.
Will it actually be putting 200hp through all the time or is it to go on a 200hp tractor?
