Rich and famous and farming.

Carl Rackemann (Australian cricketer) farms in In Queensland I think. Graeme Hick used to farm the family farm in Zimbabwe before they the locals thought they could do better. David Byas (Yorkshire cricket captain) has quite a large farm in Yorkshire iirc. They are probably not rich enough of famous enough for the thread though.

John Humphries now has a smallholding near here, @Forage Trader is nearer to him than us.
Really, where's that?

Robert Plant has a small hill farm near @GTB
Never met him myself but lots of people around here talk like they know him well.

Terry Wogan RIP, had quite a bit of woodland I think.
He owned some woods very near here at one point, never saw him though, and it's changed hands many times since then.

Think money is the least of his worries these days ............

He had a Son at an age even greater than mine (by 7 years)
I think BBC foreign correspondent John Simpson had a son at 70.They say it keeps you young, fit, and active.I had my son and daughter at 47 and 49,so not to sure about that! Start of their summer holidays today,so will be even more knackered than usual!

He talks about it, not sure he does much himself, pays other people to do that.
They filmed on a goat farm down the road from me a few months ago, all day there messing about for 2 minutes on countryfile. o_O

Well surprise surprise.
How much is charging for opening agri shows this year. His fame on the back of a BBC programme. Paid for by our licence fees.
