I think a thread titled "Rich,Famous etc who own land and are anti blood sports and antibadger cull",would cause some interesting posts,especially if they are your direct neighbour.:banghead:
Does Chris Packham or any other members of the BBC ....watch series own any land;)o_O
Joking aside the wealthy "good life bunny hugging " are bad news,but you may think differently.

im pretty sure the late great actor richard todd, who was a real war hero, not like todays action actors, had a dairy farm in the 1950s at the height of his fame, or could any one else shed more light on that?

I believe Richard Todd served with the Parachute Regiment in WW2.
Later on he made a film, where he played Major Howard, who lead the glider assault on Pegasus bridge. The irony was that he had met Howard at Pegasus bridge in real life when his unit linked up after the drop.
Not many 'celebs' like that these days.

John Jeffries, Breeds Charolais cattle in the Borders. Neil Brown, was a farmers son, now one of the best racing engine builders in the country! Started life just up the road and used to service my fathers car. See Neil Brown Engineering.
