Once saw a 1980s 8 ton Marshall leading heavy rubble with a drawbar bend that defied the laws of physics but it hadn't snapped and the farmer was carrying merrily on.
Your trailer should be fine with a bit of box up the middle and fish plated on the outside by a competent welder. Personally if it's a fixed drawbar I'd put a triangular bit of box above the drawbar to the chassis.

How is it possible to fix a piece of box up the middle ??
Is suspension worn on trailer or incorrect tyre pressure putting too much weight on front of trailer

A man has pleaded guilty at Newtownards Magistrates’ Court to waste offences relating to a bonfire next to the electrical sub-station on the Circular Road in Newtownards, Co. Down.

Gareth Gill (51) of Abbot’s Walk, Newtownards pleaded guilty to two charges under the Waste and Contaminated Land (Northern Ireland) Order 1997, for which he was fined £150 each and ordered to pay a £15 offender’s levy

On June 25, 2018, PSNI officers went to Gill’s yard, where they found a large amount of waste consisting of scrap wood, pallets, carpet and underlay.
