[QUOTE="Happy hillbily, post: 7518629, member: 3475"] Not always ! Local ag merchant has a fleet of vans delivering certain areas on certain days. The old fella on our patch was brilliant, you could ring him and the next day he was in the area, you would get your delivery, he had a fantastic memory, could even be chatting to him at the mart and oh can you get so and so, and you would get it. He retires and his replacement starts (replacement has very big boots to fill so given some slack) you would phone him the day before, but stuff wouldn't turn up for a few weeks or at all. When quizzed he said oh i forgot, not sorry i forgot, just, i forgot ! So started texting my orders, thinking he would look on his phone first thing on delivery day, ah yes I need that that and that, but no still can't get stuff delivered on time or not at all. Some times having to make the 40 mile round trip to fetch stuff he has forgot as i had run out. Played merry hell with them at the merchant, and they laughed, oh well that's what he is like ! I told them to stuff their products and i was going to the local coop for my supplies and left. (unfortunately local coop dont do dairy chemicals and they knew it) anyway had a text a few weeks later from the delivery guy 'did you get your supplies from the coop or what'. He was so lucky he wasn't saying that to my face as i would have strangled the fxxxxr there and then 🤬🤬🤬 Now use a local guy for my dairy stuff, brilliant service, treats all his customers the same whether large or small.
