You are meant to treat the animal, not poison yourself.Amaverol some nasty stuff used it on a hiefer years ago
Only treated her twice but both times next day I was like I'd been hit by a truck
Wouldn't use it again
We get stuff to put in water tanks from Ainsworths
Works ok but takes time

Yes, unfortunately they are stopping production. Last batches will have sept21 expiry date, so our vet tells me. Itchy calves next yearRing vac is good
I don't know, but it's highly likely that they are using the facilities to make or bottle vaccines. Are they stopping production or just going over to producing Covid 19 vaccine. Wanted some Footvax back in the autumn, could only get 50ml, ordered more with MVF, they came back a few days later saying they were unable to get it, made me wonder if everybody who can make vaccines are being asked to make Covid vaccine.
We used to hang holly in the shed i swear it workedCan’t find the old thread on this one! Any good advice for getting on top of ring worm? Thanks in advance.
i had ringworm as a kid ,mum rubbed in whitfieds cream it worked ,could see where it had been for years.I remember many years ago my sister got a ring worm on her arm. Father took her to the local Boots pharmacy and the old pharmacist took one look at it and said try the local vets. The pharmacist had been around in the days when Boots did animal health as well.
Had it bad in the weaned calves last year and the biggest issue is the man and the boys picked it up. My husband had it plastered all over his body. Worse was my 11 year old who got it on my leg and the Dr didnt take it serious enough. Now his leg is badly scared. Im not happy with the Dr who didnt address this properly from the start.
We used to have a bit of ringworm rearing dairy calves. Bactakill did seem to work and it's cheap. The other top tip I got from a much better calf rearer than me was dose them with any cheap flypor type stuff, kills the lice, they stop rubbing all the time and spreading the ringworm. Worked a treat!
Bought in a bunch of cattle recently, more Ringworm than I had noticed in teh Ring!
Bactakil type product was recommended to me at Wynnstay, and 2 weeks later, the hair is growing back wherever I sprayed the product, I am very impressed with the outcome.
It's the same thing as athletes foot. Use Gold Bond if you really want to try and do anything.
Stepping up the mineral program can help prevent it. It loves Vit D deficiency which is why it pops up in the winter when the days are short.
Had it on my face once.... don't ever get it on your face. It doesn't look normal there. One day everyone will be convinced it's ring worm so you treat for that, then it dries out and flakes so the next day everyone says Oh nooo that's not ringworm, that's eczema, so then you moisturize. It's like feeding algae. BAM! You look like the Phantom of the Opera. Eventually it made a more typical appearance on my arm as Ringworm Jim and by that point I was so sick of it I went to the doctor and got a steroidal cream. They may have debated what my scaly face was but Ringworm Jim put doubt to any other diagnostic potentials.
