He was definitely ill with something, I thought it was Parkinsons but could be wrong. He closed the club a few years ago and I think went for planning permission for houses.

Cornwall lost a piece of itself today.
Remember him from my YFC days. He was a fair hand at sheaf pitching and I will never forget the day at County Rally when he was entered in the shepherd and imaginary dog competition.

Sad day when Geoff Rowe (Even his stage name Jethro, was a joke) has passed away
True legend and would have your sides splitting
I can remember the late 1980’s when I worked for Bibbys at Dunball Mill near Bridgewater
We had a sales meeting and were staying at a hotel in Highbridge
After dinner we retired to the bar at about 11pm (as you do)
Jethro was in there, after doing a gig locally
What a smashing fella, just as warm and friendly as he was onstage
He sat at the bar regaling us with stories and drinking beer (like the Penzance prop forward he used to be)
That was a good night and we all got to bed at about 2am
Saw him a few times too on stage
What a Cornish legend
RIP Jethro

I had the distinct pleasure of watching him live only a couple years ago at leas cliff hall, Folkestone.
Absolutely fantastic.
The whole place was roaring.

There's a few others I want to see live if we don't get shut down.

Was also lucky to see Jim Davidson give one of the last shows before covid shut everything down.
Again, amazing and glad we, and he of course, made the effort.
