Don't know who the local mp is but they should be asking some pretty difficult questions to plod and DEFRA.

It was excessive in every respect - in process, resource usage and cost. These people are supposedly public servants and I won't believe that the levels of resources and cost were justified - you'd get less people on a drugs raid!

The management of both police and DEFRA should be publicly held to account.

What irks me the most is that you can't ever get anyone on the phone if you try to ring for local services but yet these agencies and the fudging police apparently have time to run and post a fudging twitter feed? Absolute waste of tax payers money.

Sadly over the top typical making a mountain out of a mole hill for sepa
be interesting if they did a survey of peoples response on a before and after
(of locals who could be flooded)
The cyber attack fairly clipped their wings, plus they took working from home to the max in 2020 and 21 and still haven’t caught up.

Speaking to guy from the potato office in Perth last yr who neighbour sepa, he said no one was in SEPA Perth office for months, not even checking mail. Said the pile of mail behind their glass door got so big he doubted they’d be able to open the door.

Took them 4 months to process a licence I applied for, had to reapply about 5 times as kept losing it and never the same officer dealing with it. Ended up a renewal had to become a new application which cost an extra £300 odd quid for their incompetence. 🙄

Police Scotland have significant number of officers working from home scouring social media looking for evidence of historic “hate” crimes/speech.

public service is run by the kids who were milk monitors at school.

400 years ago those same people were hunting witches!
🤣

in other news, our Nicola is hitting the current crisis head on and is busy issuing apologies to those witches who were hunted.

Scotland once again leading the world in…….er……..well….. ……I’m not exactly sure what, but pretty sure no other provincial government has spent any time on it. 🙄

would I be right in thinking Boris has shot Nichola's fox by resigning? Wasn't the main argument for independence we don't want to be ruled by Boris?

Sadly don’t seem to have anyone to answer to
must be great to run a business and doesn’t matter what you do you still get your money
in fact the less they do the more they get to keep

There is more chance of Elvis crashing a UFO into a dinner party hosted by Kim Jung Il with all the members of the Beatles present than any 'water company bosses' being busted for so much as 1 penny because of water pollution. The companies are being allowed to pollute because the government has decided to fudge it off as an issue. Water infrastructure, pricing and supply has been thrown so far out of the government's pram that they probably have more concern for the water supply in Ethiopia than in the UK.
