This should work for everyone as the report is now on our servers too.
Years ago you had local chaps who had their length of road, river and railway to maintain. They were on a wage and took pride in the work, about 20 years ago it all got contracted out and has all gone to s.hit. Rivers are blocked, embankments are a jungle and roadsides are so overgrown you have to straddle the white line with anything like a load of bales etc.It would take many yrs to get them back to near how they should be I think that’s the problem as a government is in for such a short time they wouldn’t get the Recognition for spending on it. They Are just hoping they do t get a big flood in there short time. We get some land 1/4 flooding from un maintained brooks so serious issue for us. I would like to see them all working properly. recalculated engineered to take the water. Specially from new house building projects.
Having spent best part of £35k on a renewable energy project that was rejected because of nimby and banana (build absolutely nothing anywhere near anywhere) types, the Majority of whom didn’t live anywhere near us (London, Brighton, York ) and a majority of local objectors who have since moved away, your stance strikes a nerve. Now now... be nice
e) he did a f**king good job tho!It is worth pointing out that:-
a) Mr. Price pleaded guilty to all charges
b) One of these charges were as a result of breaching a Stop Notice
c) He didn't do very much to gander public sympathy with his initial comments following the incident, coming across as bullish and arrogant
d) He was previously successfully prosecuted for un authorised works by the EA in 2007 resulting in a £10,000 fine
Of illegally destroying an SSSI yes, though I'd imagine he may be reviewing his actions in the light of facing a very hefty fine, remedial work bill and prison time. On reflection it probably wasn't the best decision he's ever made in his life...e) he did a f**king good job tho!
Naaa, he's a top man. SSSI are a load of shite anyway!Of illegally destroying an SSSI yes, though I'd imagine he may be reviewing his actions in the light of facing a very hefty fine, remedial work bill and prison time. On reflection it probably wasn't the best decision he's ever made in his life...
We used to have a council guy .John the road man he kept roads drains etc right if anyone knew of a problem tell John he fixed it must have saved the council a fortune when he retired his job disappeared boy is he missed nowYears ago you had local chaps who had their length of road, river and railway to maintain. "coming across Bullish and arrogant" are not how i saw him, He is neither,It is worth pointing out that:-

The difference here is that he has actually admitted to doing the work. That point has never been in doubt by either side. Many of those who were tied up in the Post Office scandal pleaded guilty too. Had they not they would have faced a prison sentence.
Pleading guilty and actually being guilty are not the same at all.
What can the Post Office case tell us about false guilty pleas?
'Why did the post office appellants plead guilty? And why is this important?'evidencebasedjustice.exeter.ac.uk
His statements at the time tell a slightly different story..."coming across Bullish and arrogant" are not how i saw him, He is neither,
He just doesnt suffer fools.
Can anyone tell me what the special scientific merit of the site is?Of illegally destroying an SSSI yes
