Road runs and pollution

Don’t get me wrong, I love seeing these old tractors etc. out for a day, but today got tangled up with one when I was out on my bike. I and the drivers had no issue at all except for a bit of abuse from a friend partaking, but thinking I would follow for the couple of miles where I was going to turn off, I hooked behind but after 200 yards I was struggling with the exhaust fumes.
It really made me think about that sweet smell so loved by all vintage enthusiasts, obviously I was breathing deeply but it cannot be doing anyone any good especially tail end Charlie on a still day

Little to worry about. I honestly wish I was at your stage of life if that’s your main cause of concern
Don’t get me wrong, I am most definitely not calling for the end of these runs.
i came to a cross roads and they were approaching , so I chose to wait and watch them pass and follow.
tail end charlie was an old friend by chance and I rode alongside for a chat , but quickly realised I was struggling with all the smoke and fumes so pulled off a side road.
it just reminded me that all the operators of the RB 22 draglines died from the fumes
take care out there!

Just put Castrol R in them and people would be following you round in droves!!!! I put a small drop in my lawn mower petrol, cant beat the smell!!!!
I think on the whole most classics have their injectors and pump done so most are pretty spot on, I guess the issue of the bores glazing up where they're not really worked hard and hence become a tad smoky. The 4 pot Massey 35 diesel seems to be the worst for smoking

Great turn out, I did not see all, but no wonder I choked on the smoke with all those blue things😂😂😂

Think there was 30 of us? Couple of smaller things at the back smoking/putt putting away.
Seemed to get a really good reception from what I could make out. Hopton was probably the busiest point. Think they were coming out of church at the same time.
Generally not a great deal of traffic, even through knetishall heath.

I think traffic levels have dropped dramatically in the last few months.going out on weekends is like cup final day.
Even on Friday whenI went down to London the traffic was light compared to other years when I have trecked down to pick up son
