Just collected this lot from one of my roadside fields.
It's a quiet road with few house's.

Just the same here. I met a Severn Trent Water bloke at the bottom of our drive yesterday. I couldn’t believe the rubbish 100 yards each way and I had only cleared it just before Christmas.

@Xerion visited last summer and remarked how untidy the country is compared to Europe. Had to agree with him.

My wife's pet hate(and mine) she would cut peoples hands off if caught! She invited our neighbours to supper if they helped pick our 3/4 mile double road frontage. All 8 joined in(she didn't ask the caravan dwelling strawberry pickers and tarmackers) and the roadside was clean for a day or two. Got a letter of thanks from the town council!

Our beck flows through, what is laughing called, 'civilisation'. When we get a bad storm, about 100 yards of it floods over onto our grass.
After storm Ciara, Mrs YB picked up all this..

...mainly plastic bottles and bottle tops - they seem to like to take the tops off and chuck them in separately

My lad had a bit of a tidy up before storm Ciara on the riverbank,he couldn't carry the amount of stuff so heaped it up,flooding happened took the lot but brought more.???

There is a few coffee jars there too, they seem to be full of cigarette butts- roll ups i think, (weed?)
I have my suspicions who is doing it and seems like they have a bit of a drink problem.

Year back I worked for Local Authority Highways. I'd find myself on various verdges on various roads. And there was always 9 times out of 10 empty mini Vodka bottles.

A55 was strewn with them.

Europeans have a totally different relationship with the countryside hence they dont litter it.
They were never cleared off it english style.

It’s not until you travel around different countries that you realise what a dump we live in. You can go pretty much anywhere in the UK and you wouldn’t have to search to hard to come across some form of litter, I think it’s shameful and the attitude of a lot of people regarding rubbish/littering is dreadful.
