Who has one ?

As per usual is May and I have cut the lawn yet.
How good are these little machine. What should I be looking at for an average sized garden?

Yes on our second one here. First one did over 8000 hrs relatively problem free. The blades can stick so checking it every other day is a must really.

The current one is a Husqvana Automower 450X. It’s looking after about 1.5 acres. Once the lawns down it runs every other day for about 5 hours, but getting the lawn down in the first place it needs to run 24/7.

I’d definitely recommend one.

The old man has one - a Husqvarna cutting approx 1.5 acres and it handles it no bother! Grass has never looked so good and saves him cutting it twice a week!

I assume because they are such a small cut they have to do a lot of hours per week compared to a normal mower. Just about to put one in on my lawn. So will let you know after tomorrow hopefully

Bloody marvellous things. Another husky 450x on 1.5acres here. Working 22 hours a day at the moment but that will reduce as the season wears on

I guess they only really work on one big area of grass? Our garden has 6 separate areas of grass which is a pain.

What longevity. 8000hrs how many years was that?

Without checking I think it was 6 yrs. had the new one last year so now into 8 yrs of robot mowing.

The current breed of Husqvana are smaller than the previous ones so the 450x is on its limit at 1.5 acres. I can’t remember the model number of the old one I’m afraid.

Ours is two separate lawns, front and back of the house. I have joined the two with a stop of turf through what was a flower bed. There are ways around joining lawns I am told.
