Imagine quite a few GEA robot owners don’t look at the robotic milking thread anymore....... Not sure about other countries but terrible reputation in the UK.

A new chapter on my farm starts tomorrow with start up of 3 M2s , a trioliet auto feed system and a joz bot scraper. This is a culmination of nearly 15 years work and dreams. 125 cows from parlour and 49 from my 10 year old merlin; installed in the bitter cold of dec 2009/jan2010..

Thankfully there's little chance of -10 degrees.

I have found this thread very helpful over the years . Now it's time for me to turn info into real life .

Wish me luck!!

Best of luck ....... it will break your heart within 24 hours when all that is covered in crap
Glad to see someone else with the confidence to invest in dairying. (y)

I will be very interested to hear about the Trioliet auto feed system. We looked at it back in 2014 but decided to spend capital elsewhere.
Literally (today) also bought a Joz ourselves so we can compare notes (Edit - we bought the auto pusher rather than the scraper)

9.5 hours to push 170 through 3 bits and ensure feeder system was working properly..

Robots and support team performed perfectly. Onky a few cows jumped the gates..

Knackered
Now continuously repeat for around a week:facepalm:.

First day started my robots off was 24.5 hours and second day was 22.5 hours and after those I gave up counting but by the end of the week I could sleep standing up!!!!
