Nothing against delavals at all, but couldnt comment as A: I know no-one with one, but B: I hear nothing about them, good, bad nor ugly.

Hear plenty about lelys with most reports being positive, hear a bit about boumatics, mostly negative, and the one fullwood farm who is mixed - but that could be a dealership thing rather than a robot thing from what I can gather.

Down here as in west cornwall. Know plenty of people from the penzance area and beyond that, but dont know anywhere near as many to the east of helston admittedly.
Depends on dealer and farmer.

Know of a farm that's putting in new Delaval and they won't entertain the local dealer!

1st rule of sales don't run down competition?
That was my thoughts, but they havnt actually named the competitor atleast (not that it takes a genius to work it out) but I wouldn't have said anything about them either, something along the lines of "second hand lely replacing another make" would have been more than enough

I wouldn’t class “not performing well” as running down the competition. I’m sure the farmer has far worse things to say if he’s going through the hassle & cost of changing colours.
Fine for the farmer not for sales team.

Heard of one farmer blaming robots for not getting cows in calf WTF is that about!

We had a less than ideal start up, silly default settings in the computer were stopping cows getting OOPF allocation, pedometers were worse than useless so terrible activity data, wouldn’t say it was the fault of the robot but would put large portion of the blame to fullwood for not having system to place to help during and after start up, might be better now but hardly got a cow in calf for 6 months!

What was stopping them from getting in-calf, lack of cake (energy) or missed heats? Or combination of the two?
6 months is a bloody long time for them to have not sorted it!

Combination of the 2, knock on effect, fresh cows calving in on half the cake they should have been and crappy pedometers was a rubbish combination, hear all the horror stories about start up and how horrendous it is, the training cows was the easy bit it was the training the farmer nobody ever mentioned! There were a lot of lessons learnt from everyone involved, just at my cost.

That's one thing you can guarantee it's never the companies cost...
