Robotic milking

Trouble with letting them all out in one go unrestricted is. robot not being used for 3 hrs and then when you fetch them in they all have a gut full of grass and not interested in going to robot. The key to grazing is getting them to want to get to the next field and the only way is via a grazeaway which selects if they need to milk. Even the outdoor robot in the video was operating an A B system via a grazeaway gate and to be fair walking the cows a fair distance ,but it looked messy around the robot there, imagine what it would look like in a uk climate

We have had Fullwood and Lely out for a visit and are now awaiting some farm visits and drawings of the preposed layouts they have come up with in relation to our current shed layout. Was wanting to know from current robot users what you regret/ advise and doing and not doing in the builing process and layout ect.. Current plan is 2 robots milking 110-120 on a grazing system.
thankyou.

I regret not making the area in front of robot slatted , cleaning this area is my biggest single job . In reply to site of footbath , I put a plastic one on the exit of the robot , no issue at all with it reducing visits , big problem in keeping it clean , put it out a 5.30 am this morning , by 5 pm tonight it was 50 % slurry , in the winter it is not so bad but now cows are at grass and looose it makes footbathing impossible

Is Teamviewer still working for everyone? Pretty much given up on it, hardly ever connect and when it does, it's so slow.

Would be nice if Lely brought out a Android/Iphone app that would connect to T4c.

Just had a big CRS/Robot software update, apparently have now got another 1.5" height on the arm, a "route one time" button on the screen and the menu folders are doudle spaced now, so more of a chance of opening the right folder.

Thanks Clive will try it.

What version of Windows is the parlour PC running? And how is it connected back to your house (or is it on a separate net connection)?

LogMeIn and similar is junk you need to get Windows Remote Desktop Connection setup, far better.

We have done it for loads of people in the past ;)

We have remote desktop setup from house via the fibre link you helped with. Teamviewer was brilliant from Android phone, worked on 2g with no hassle.
I think the the problem started when lely replaced the pc and it had Teamviewer "host"installed, soon after that I had a "commercial use suspected" message pop up. I removed host version and installed normal Teamviewer and it worked for a while, but lately has been a waste of time.

I would upgrade the vista (its not very reliable). Team viewer should then work no problem

I used team viewer a lot for phone to weighbridge or my office desktop, mac, iPhone, iPad all work well with it

use teamviewer several times a day and works fine. kids have it set up on there phones if we are away they can see whats on. Biggest problem is they keep upgrading teamviewer several times a year and if you don't do it it stops working.

I would upgrade but the problem is I need a pc with an old type pci slot and I've struggled finding my last replacement pc,the parlour has just gone 5 years old and the fecking connection is out of date (n) the parlour manufacturer has suggested I give a go at wiring a new type pic express up,but its 36 wires and fairly complex.:(

Is it possible to calibrate the touch screen on the lely A4? Pointer always seems a long way off where i have touched the screen.
Looked through the menus, but can't see the option to calibrate screen.
