Adding on to the barn. Robot 4 to go in soon. Barn built about 2 years ago. Started with 2 then added 3rd 8 months later. Plus changing out 2 A3 to A4 in his old barn down the road. His uncle has 6 A3 in a new barn . Sorry for the blurry pic. Will get better ones when working there.

And if it's Saturday evening how long will it take to get my length.

Initial thoughts are service and backup are priority

Yes , everyone know's my issue with Lely and the lack of manual attach or in other words a back up plan to just get the cow milked when the robot can't for what ever reason , but the Lely back up and reliabilty of the machine is 2nd to none , I have no experience of other makes on that front but I fail to see how Lely could be any better in our area at least . Liam, Chris, Andy and now the new guy, John are all just top notch blokes who you would be happy to go for a pint with and know their job inside out , it's worth a lot the peace of mind you get from knowing they are just a phone call away

Has anyone found the perfect cake for not blocking up A3 Next feed mechanism? Pretty sure it's the oils that makes it stick to the little triangular feed dropper thing. I'm having to scrape the feed off it every 2 weeks currently.

We had this problem on our a4 and started to get the nuts non fat coated. No problems with blocking since although there is a bit more dust.

Hi, I'm a student at Harper Adams and i'm currently distributing a survey on the subject of training inexperienced animals to use robots. This forum seems very active and it would be great to get some of your opinions via the survey, it should only take about five minutes and only asks for information that most of you will know off the top of your head.

Thanks in advance to any respondents.
PS. I've also looked for the Association of Robotic Milkers forum but that seems to have disappeared?

Filled in first page, then told me that I didn't fit criteria for survey. WTF that's about?
The survey I posted? To be honest there no criteria set for the questionnaire anybody should be able to fill it out, just relying on people being honest when they do. If it's not too much trouble could you try again? Understand if not.

I'll share some photos in a couple of weeks of the farm I'm going back to work on when I'm done with this study we have 7 a4s.
Thanks to everyone whose filled it out so far
