Too true... :( I do wish that one of the press corps would ask Dr Varadkar, or even Mr Coveney, a couple of simple questions:

1) Is there any circumstance in which the government of the ROI would be happy to see a hard border between NI and the ROI?

It is safe to assume that the answer would be in the negative. On that assumption, the obvious corollary question would be:

2) Then, since the UK will not impose one, who is calling for and why will there have to be a hard border between the ROI and NI?
