Looking at these second hand, is there anything to be aware of?
Can you lock the rams or pin it in the up position?
Wear on pins and bushes?

Like the idea of them lowering to the ground making it easier to load, looks like the barn doors on the back might be a hassle with rapid beasts but it wouldn't be the end of the world to bolt flakes on first.

Thoughts and opinions appreciated

I've got a Rolland, v742, had it at least six years and had a similar one before that.
Used almost daily on outdoor pigs.
The rams lock up with taps in the line near gas accumulators.
One issue with one axle after about a year but otherwise trouble free.
We have internal doors as well.

One for sale down here. It's on gumtree if that's any help. Looks tidy in pictures.

@beltbreaker did you get one? If so any comments.
Aye bought the one in the add. So far so good, it's from 2003 but is in good shape. Cows wander on to it and you can watch them from the cab. The brake system is a bit antiquated as it is rams to cables to overcentre levers. The cables don't like salt much so clean them regular. The dividing door will be modernised so I can keep calves in the front 1/3 as it doesn't go to floor. The mud guards although bulky don't seem to intrude on the cows when wandering on. Not sonstruck on the cargo doors can be a bit of a faf to get the doors shut when loading and it's best to undo both doors when unloading and stand well back with jumpy youngstock but easier than say opening the stick doors on an lfor to be fair. 7.5m holds 8 cows and young calves easily possibly 10 once I improve on the division door.

Overall well chuffed although the tyres are a bit perished and had a slow leak today. A lot less Ifor work going on and miles on the road.
