Roller leaking

I have a 10ft Fleming field roller . 2x split drums . Was leaking so took it apart and both drums the same round the collar where shaft goes through in the centre cracked right round letting water out. I buffed down and welded up pretty well and re filled but I noticed wet patch where they were parked up earlier on so presumably they cracked again after only a day work after welding . What’s causing it?

Have just had an 8foot flemming apart again this last week for maybe third time to weld cracks up. We actually cut square hole both ends and took tube out this time to weld inside and then re weld back on to see if it will last any longer!!!

Questionable welding????
Sorry, just asking,,,,,

Tin hat on Obv
Mine or the original? 😂 the original looked good , spent bit of time buffing down and putting plenty of weld on my weld . Held water overnight but it has been rolling all day and now appears leaking again.
