What’s the widest that I could have a roller shutter door without having to spend silly money on something industrial that won’t cause any problems. Will be about 18ft high.

How much more do they cost, like for like?Oh, and if you can afford to opt for an insulated door. I'll never have a non-insulated one ever again.....not for the insulation, just because it stops the rattle and is far far stronger. My insulated doors are virtually silent when going up and down.
Sectional door is far superior to a roller door

May I ask why?
Any one you could recommend to get quotes fromSectional doors are better than roller shutters but sit up in the roof space in a frame when open so are vulnerable to damage, don’t have them where you are tipping trailers etc We have them on the workshop though and they are fine there. We have 14 20 x 20 roller shutters, all insulated, I would never bother with uninsulated ones, we had some on our old buildings and they were rattly noisy horrible things and despite the wind locks they were often blow in enough to come out of the runners, just not strong enough.
