OK, just don't spray any herbicides (or possibly PGRs) within two weeks
get on with it .I'm thinking about damage to the crop .
get on with it .
Is it a defo or a no no ? need to draw some moisture from somewhere.
Is it notgerminating? It's been rolled after sowing .
Wait thenWe've got a field of spring barley that needs rolling, agronomist recommended leaving it til it was at 2-3 leaf stage. It's a bit uneven though, the lighter bits of the field are there, but on the heavier stuff it is only just poking through following last week's rain
If it was damper underneath l would be doing mine.Ours is under stress from the dry, I don't want to give it another stress with the roller although I would have liked to roll it.
Thinking of doing mine again to encourage tillering, especially on one field that was drilled a bit of the light side. It won't hurt Bob, as long as you don't spray it soon afterwards or when frost is forecast.
How does rolling create moisture? Is it a defo or a no no ? need to draw some moisture from somewhere.
Mine was drilled on 21st March into ploughed up 10 yr grass ley, so not much moisture. How long has yours been up ? can just see the tramlines here .
The grass next door isn't showing at all , been sown 2 weeks yesterday, rolled that again last night.
