Does anybody on here produce rose veal?
Could you tell me if there's much of a market for it?
I remember a few years ago there was a bit of a movement from tv chefs etc backing it and trying to get people to buy it, did it work?
Is there any money to be made, is it worth giving it a go?
Anybody with any direct experience I'd like to hear your thoughts/ experiences!
Just trying to work out the best way going forward to get mega rich in a really short time!;)

We used to send a few but they always seemed to have a flat price so when the job was good there were better places to send them, if the price is still the same it's probably the way to go just now.

When exports to Europe were stopped there was a push to create a market for Rose Veal. It probably is only profitable if you have access to Whey and other by products. Feeding them whole milk or imported powder milk would be an expensive option.

I am sure many people will be looking at this as an option for all those calves the supermarkets have told Dairy farmers that they can no longer kill at birth.
I would question if there is really a market for this meat. It is nothing like the white Veal found in europe and as such will not be used in many recipes for veal. It has an odd texture and not always any great flavour as it remains very lean.

There is still a huge market for white Veal at a very high price but I guess the misguided lobbyists would prevent anyone here from making money from it.
