I think the royalty on the conventional stuff that has just been cleaned was about £2.20/kg, 80p/kg to clean it.

It’s a sad job when cleaning a crop is worth double the value of the crop itself.....and the royalty is worth six times the value of the end product.

I’m sure there’s a good analogy but I can’t think of one offhand.

I’ve been growing hybrid and very pleased with yield but this year the seed bed is very dry so will be an expensive exercise if it doesn’t germinate
