Tips to remove please - well rusted in bolt (holds a battery securing bracket in place) 10mm socket spinning on it as previously been rounded off

tried to hammer a 9mm socket onto it but no good

can't get anything in to cut or heat it (space and by a battery so potential bomb !)

whats the best tool for gripping rounded bolt heads please ?

Have you got room to use a pair of Knipex Cobra pliers?

can only get to it from above - socket with extension bar and not space to get a spanner on or turn it of I could

will take a picture tomorrow

its not badly rounded but because its rusted in I need to get some torque on it

have left it soaking in coke over night

6 sided socket like a impact socket
this above, 10mm and if it is a slack fit then a 3/8 imperial,
it may shear of what ever you do,

but I have found using an air impact windy gun works well, it gives it a shock factor that can get it going,
turn it down air low or off on the gun before you start, once set up, pull trigger and and slowly turn air up till it starts to rattle,
the shock can get it going, if it does move, dont try to take it off all in one, if you get a little movement, just tighten it a little,
working back and forth till its off, this will be better than just putting a bar on the socket and twisting it off

the Coke idea is very good, and does work, strangely it dont work as good if the Coke is flat though

You can sometimes get heat into a tight spot by heating a steel rod to red hot and placing it on top of the offending item. That might break the bond, then some freezer spray on the nut and heated rod on what it is screwed into, plus some suggestions as above. Alternate heating and cooling should help oil to penetrate.
